Fine Gold Bars

The indications are that the price of precious metals will increase over the next few months/years as governments push ahead with quantitative easing measures. This in turn will lead to inflationary tendencies which will increase the price of gold and other commodities Bars of differing sizes are available so please call 01923 255697 for more details.

Top Cut

Thanks to the glass fibre reinforcement Top Cut is an ideal separating disc for all precious metals. The addition of the glass fibre enables the disc to be slightly flexible whilst still maintaining strength. The chances of breakage have therefore also been reduced. Being only 0.3mm thick there is only the minimum of metal wastage. Top Cut will last up to three times as long as conventional discs.

Casting Fluxes

The use of a casting flux will improve the casting of your precious dental alloy. Boric Acid for high melting point alloys, and Borax for lower melting point alloys are supplied in a fine powder form.

Flux has two main functions when used when melting alloy: Firstly to act as a scavenger and prevent any “crud” from entering the mould when the alloy is cast. Secondly to act as a barrier preventing the alloy form oxidising during the melting procedure and keeping the alloy “clean”.

Extrashine

Extrashine is a fine Diamond impregnated polishing paste, for use with all precious and non precious dental alloys. Using Extrashine ensures a very high lustre to your crowns and bridges.
